Homemade Pizza

Our wonderful Church Cook is not only a great chef but dear friend of ours. When I think of someone who gives selflessly and works diligently to serve the Lord and His flock (literally and figuratively), I think of Kay Heritage.

She has become quite a foodie blogger too. She just finished a taping of a cooking episode for Paula Deen's Real Women of Philadelphia (Philadelphia Cheese that is). They filmed it in Paula Deen's condo in downtown Savannah. Kay fit right in with other wonderful cooks.

She posts great recipes on her blog and I found this one. It is actually a recipe from another friend and member of our church who is also a chef for the Pirate's House (restaurant and place where Pirates, including Black Beard supposedly roamed during the old shipping days).

Homemade BBQ Pork Pizza.

I tried it and it was a hit with both Samuel and Nathan. Super easy to make and great for a certain 3 year old to help.
While cleaning out the kitchen a few weeks ago, I found this rolling pin. Sweet! We made the dough and spread it out with this roller.
We spread BBQ sauce over the dough. I found that the more sauce the better. Mmmmmm.

Samuel likes just sauce, cheese and bacon pieces. Oh it was so good. Nathan likes mushrooms, onions and tomatoes. Really any toppings you like is good on this dinner meal.

Yummers!
