Favorite Christmas Song
Jaymi: Mary Did You Know (I know, not a classic, but really powerful lyrics)
Samuel: Jingle Bells (I think he likes this one because it repeats these words all throughout the song.)
Favorite Christmas Decoration:
Jaymi: my mom's old nativity scene that we had when we were kids, oh and our monogramed matching stockings
Samuel: Christmas tree - he likes the lights, sadly though, we don't have one this year because of the move
Favorite Christmas Food
Jaymi: Pecan pie
Samuel: the icing on sugar cookies - hmmmm, can we say sugar hound?
Favorite Thing to Wear at Christmas
Jaymi: my new boots that I got for my birthday (thanks Target gift card)
Samuel: Spiderman shoes - basically his favorite thing to wear all the time...that and his spiderman underwear. He DOES NOT like his snowman sweatervest that I MAKE HIM wear to church.
Favorite Part of the Christmas Story
Jaymi: Mary pondering all of these things in her heart
Samuel: the angels telling the shepherds the good news of Jesus' birth. Our advent book shows a picture of the glowing angels blinding the shepherds. He thinks it's cool that they had to shield their eyes from the brightness.
